Bookmark +
In short: Bookmark + keeps your library in your browser. If you turn on sync, it travels through your browser's own sync service, not through any server of mine.
What is stored
- Bookmarks: titles, URLs, folders and tags
- Folder colours and your settings
It is stored on your own device, and removing the extension removes it.
What leaves your device
Nothing by default. With sync turned on, your library is synced by the browser itself, using the account you are signed in to the browser with (Google or Microsoft), under that company's privacy policy. Export files are created only when you ask, and saved where you choose.
What is never done
- No personal data is collected, sold or shared.
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or crash reporting.
- No server run by me ever receives your data.
Permissions, and why
- storage
- To keep your library and settings.
- activeTab, tabs
- To fill in the title and URL of the page you are saving.
- contextMenus
- For "Add to Bookmark +" in the right-click menu.
- sidePanel
- To show your library in the browser side panel.
Changes
If this ever changes, this page will be updated first, with a new date at the top.
