Todoist for Visual Studio
Visual Studio 2022 or 2026 on Windows, and a Todoist account (free works)
Getting started

Install and sign in
Sign in with Todoist when prompted. It uses OAuth, so your password never touches the extension.

Open the window
Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T, or go to View → Other Windows → Todoist Tasks.

Capture from code
Select code and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+A. The file and line are recorded, with a link back.

Attach a project
Give each Visual Studio window its own Todoist project, so solutions stay separate.

What do I need?
Visual Studio 2022 or 2026 on Windows, and a Todoist account. Free accounts work.
Can I use Todoist's quick-add syntax?
Yes. Type something like Fix the parser #Work @bug p1 tomorrow and Todoist parses it exactly as it does in its own apps.
How do I sign out?
Use the sign-out command in the tool window. It also revokes the token with Todoist, instead of only forgetting it locally.
Is this made by Doist?
No. It's an unofficial extension, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Doist.
Didn't find it?
"Report a problem" opens an email with the version filled in. Say what happened and, if you can, how to make it happen again.
